Admission to a State University depends partially on the applicant's School GPA.
Assume that GPA's approximate a normal curve with the mean of 3.20 and standard deviation of 0.30.
(i) If applicants with GPA's of 3.50 are automatically admitted, what proportion of applicants will be in this category
(ii) If the applicants with GPA's 2.50 or below are automatically denied admission, what proportion will be in this category.
(iii) Special honors program is open to all applicants with GPA's of 3.75 or better, what proportion will be in this category.
(iv) If the special honors program is limited to students whose GPA's rank in the upper 10 % , what GPA will be required for admission to this program.
