    What is normal distribution?

    A normal distribution is a continuous distribution which models any variable that tends to cluster around the mean, while the probability decreases as we approach the ends. For example, the average height of adults can be modelled by a normal distrbution because most people's heights are close to the mean (somewhere around 170cm), whereas less people fall on the extreme sides (both extreme tall and extreme short).
