    Historically, 10% of the homes in Florida have radon levels higher than recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency. Radon is a weakly radioactive gas known to contribute to health problems. A city in north central Florida has hired an environmental consulting group to determine whether it has a greater than normal problem with this gas. A random sample of 200 homes indicated that 25 had radon levels exceeding EPA recommendations.

    a. Conduct the most appropriate hypothesis test using a 0.05 significance level.

    b. Construct a 95% confidence interval for the true proportion of homes with excessive levels of radon.
