One of the causes of frustration for social workers is that child abuse and neglect do not get adequate attention and treatment. When abused or neglected children are left alone, social workers know that the children feel foolish, worthless, or get exposed to sexual abuse. The most common effect is emotional trauma. However, every social worker knows that a neglected child has poor physical health, mental health, and weak cognitive abilities (a). The children become fearful, have trust issues, and feel insecure. Abused and neglected children suffer from changes in behavior, sadness, and aggressiveness. There is a variety of child abuse prevention strategies that are available and can be used effectively. Some interventions reduce risk factors and increase protective factors. Some interventions can easily address psychological maltreatment behaviors, these can reduce the impact of abuse and neglect on children. Yet, children do not get access to intervention programs.

2. Problem Statement
Early intervention programs are not being developed for child abuse and neglect. Even though neglect and child abuse is serious concern for social workers. Lack of early intervention can lead to serious childhood trauma, weak mental health, and adverse effects on brain development (b).
