The trolley problem in the video is a permutation of ethics problem by Philippa Foot who presented the moral dilemma of choice, harm and the ethical and moral actions of individuals in relation to virtue. Foot believed in practical reason where human beings subject themselves to an evaluation of their situation so as to determine an act that aligns with our beliefs and virtues - i.e. temperance, justice, courage, etc. In this problem, a trolley driver is in a dilemma.
