When comparing and contrasting the differences between male and female brains from a physiological perspective, some eminent differences occur. For example, women possess more dendritic connections among their cells than men do. Women also have a larger corpus callosum, which affords them greater use of both hemispheres for processing information, which impacts cognition.

Males, on the other hand, exhibit brains that are 10% larger than female brains and also contain about 100 grams more brain tissue as well.
Male brains are also comprised of more neurons in the cerebral cortex and also have a larger hypothalamus, which aids in regulating biological drives.
