I can say that false memory is most likely the culprit in this organization's situation. This is where the issue of getting contradictory stories from the managers comes from. The hippocampus is the area of the brain that stores memories. Therefore, from there comes the recollection of both true memories as well as false memories. With that said, memory can be influenced by two different factors: the processing of the information and the retrieval of the information.
