As you explicate how sexting is linked to risky behavior for permanent damage, my work with teens, especially teen girls, shows how they are publicly humiliated after sending these risque? images, thinking that they are sending it to a loved one or boyfriend, but then the recipient shares the pictures with entire schools, sports teams, friends, etc. The shame that it causes these girls often shatters self esteem, shames the girls' reputations, often becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.
