First of all, I strongly advocate using Glasser's Reality therapy with a juvenile in foster care. It is a great theory for "at risk" youths of all types. When you look at its numerous strengths and what issues make it work, I feel that the whole premise of a choice theory works well with these teens. It is also a tough love, "no excuses" system. Because it is client-centered, teens respond since they are ego-driven. ...
