The power in a resistor RLOAD of 10Ω when connected to a 100 volt supply is measured using a voltmeter and ammeter. There are two possible ways of connecting the meters (see attachment). The resistances RA and RV represent the internal resistances of the ammeter and voltmeter respectively.

When connected as in (a) (see attachment) the voltmeter reads 100V and the ammeter reads 9.901amps.

When connected as in (b) (see attachment) the voltmeter reads 99.01V and the ammeter reads 9.911 amps.

(a)
Calculate the values of RA and RV, assuming the instruments read true.

(b)
Calculate the percentage error in the power reading for each case, taking the true power as 1kW and the measured power as the product of the meter readings.
