Flashbulb Circuit for Flash Unit
Not what you're looking for?
The attached file shows a simplified circuit for a photographer's flash unit.
The circuit consists of a 9 V battery (V) connected to a 55 kΩ resistor (R), a 140 μF capacitor (C), and two switches (S1 and S2).
Initially, the capacitor is uncharged and the two switches are open. To charge the unit, switch S1 is closed. To fire the flash, S2 (which is connected to the camera's shutter) is also closed.
How long after S1 is closed does it take to charge the capacitor to 5V?
