    Quadratic Equations

    1. Solve by factoring:
    x2 - 13x = -12

    x^2 - 13x + 12 = 0
    x^2 - x - 12x + 12 = 0
    x(x - 1) - 12(x - 1) = 0
    (x - 1)(x - 12) = 0
    x = {1, 12}

    2. Solve using the square root property:
    2x2 - 35 = 15

    2x^2 = 15 + 35 = 50
    x^2 = 25
    x = Ö25 = {-5, 5}

    3. Solve using the square root property:
    (x + 6)2 = 4

    x + 6 = Ö4 = ± 2
    x = -6 ± 2
    x = {-8, -4}

    4. Solve by completing the square:
    x2 + 6x + 1 = ...

    Solution Summary
