Minority women are more probable to be sentenced to harsh sentences just as their male counterparts are. This is because of the racial injustice that still defines the criminal justice system wherein African Americans and other minorities, but specifically African Americans are treated with Jim Crow justice that punishes them far more severely than whites. This is because of the legacy of racism and discrimination that is institutionalized within this country.

No, judges remain impartial unless it is women of color who are being sentenced. Minority women are the most likely to be treated differently by judges, and this results in harsh sentences. White women are far more likely to receive the same lenient sentences from white female judges that they receive from white male judges.
