Many say the juvenile justice system is broken. In fact, we have failed because our solution for juveniles is the same as adults incarceration. However, Wright and Wright offer a solution which is considered a comprehensive program for effectively dealing with these very issues. After reading the article by Wright and Wright, I support their holistic, proactive solution. Because I feel that many issues of crime and delinquency begin often when family bonds, consequences, and bonding are absent, I think that the article shows how early intervention with prenatal and early childhood health care, comprehensive family policies, parental training, and family-based treatment for at risk teens can possibly deter crime.
