    Machine Guns
    The machine gun was one of the most effective weapons in WWI. The gun was very powerful and effective for warfare because it could defeat thousands of soldiers at one time. Combined with other weapons, it was virtually unstoppable. Machine guns were positioned all along the war fronts. The early guns from 1914 required three-to-six men to fire it. Soon smaller, more portable guns were developed and successfully used throughout the war.
