Daniel Goleman's EQ vs. IQ and Compassion

Daniel Goleman is a psychologist who authored the 1995 book 'Emotional Intelligence' and for this Ted Talk (Goleman 1995), Goleman drew from his experience as a psychologist, scientific researcher and lecturer to present key concepts - emotional intelligence (EI/EQ), intelligence quotient (IQ) and compassion . The latter part - compassion is an important aspect in relation to taking action for positive change in our communities and society at large. The idea of EQ and IQ as predictors of success is something that is of interest from the time Goleman wrote his 1995 book to the present in that Goleman believes that a high IQ is not a sure-fire predictor of personal success.
