From the point of view of organizations, when they comply with government CSR policies their culture improves and their esteem improves. These companies appeal more to customers, to investors, and to potential employees (1).

Government CSR policies assist consumers in several ways. The consumers can now feel more confident that they will get value for money. The consumers feel confident that they will not be cheated by businesses. The customers will have some assurance companies will not misguide or dupe them.

The government policies differ throughout the world. Their economic policies are different. Their policies towards businesses are different. Their social policies are different. In some countries economic redistribution takes precedence, in other countries the stability of the banking system takes precedence. The government policies differ throughout the world because the economic, social, and political situations of the countries are different (2).

In certain countries acute poverty compels the government to focus on poverty alleviation, food distribution, and basic medicine. In other countries where investment is scare, the government focuses on attracting foreign investment. In countries where the balance of trade/payments is unfavorable, the government strives to increase exports and curtail imports (1).
