In the automobile industry, Fiat and Chrysler quote best examples describing the need for acquisitions. Both the companies had faced critical situations in the past years, which hindered the success of the industry. Chrysler had faced a lot of difficulty in restructuring the whole business due to bankruptcy while Fiat was unable to satisfy its customers due to lack of the innovation. Thus, Fiat acquired Chrysler raising its overseas sales and getting benefited by taking a majority stake share of Chrysler.
