The U.S. Military is a force of people, trained to accomplish tasks that protect and defend the people of the United States. Its framework is divided based on the specific types of tasks and the overall tasks it is called upon to use. The different branches represent those overall tasks of protecting the seas, coasts, land, and air that are within the domain of the United States. The men and women are trained and serve willingly as volunteers in these branches.

Ethics are the values and beliefs people have and practice. Within these, most people define ethics as those behaviors, beliefs, and values that enhance the quality of life for the individual and others. With ethical behaviors, one perpetuates future behaviors, good and bad and builds a "conscience" for making choices.
Sustainability is the way people and entities behavior that promotes continued success for the future. This is often done by doing the right thing. By choosing to participate in behaviors that lead to further growth and a higher reputation, then sustainability is obtained and carried forward.
