General Motors, founded in 1908, is one of the largest auto makers. It manufactures cars and trucks in 34 countries. With its global headquarters in Detroit, GM employs 244,500 people in every major region of the world, and sells and services vehicles in some 140 countries.
Toyota Motor Corporation, a multinational corporation, is currently the largest automaker in the world. It was founded in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda and it's headquarter is in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to manufacturing automobiles, Toyota provides financial services through its division Toyota Financial Services and also creates robots. Toyota Industries and Finance divisions form the bulk of the Toyota Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the world.
