The 3 countries I have chosen are Sweden, Hong Kong and Canada.
Sweden
Sweden is well known for having strong labor unions and generous labor laws. Sweden instituted the Employment Protection Act in 1982. The Employment Protection Act protects employees from unfair dismissal. It basically states, that an employee cannot be terminated unless the employer can demonstrate that there is good cause. If an employee is terminated without good cause, they can pursue legal action to have the dismissal invalidated and resume employment as if they were never terminated. The protection of the Employment Protection Act begins on day 1 of employment, so there is no probation period.
