In this era where companies and economies are so interconnected, it is very difficult to identify a firm, no matter how small it may be, that is totally independent of the different factors affecting international business. For example, a small firm may outsource its raw materials from abroad hence forcing it to deal with the repercussion of the volatility of exchange rates and of course, ensuring that it deals with a company that doesn't employ child labor.
