There are three database characteristics - entity integrity, domain integrity, and referential integrity - that help companies have effective internal control systems. To explain how this is done, let's take a look at each one.
1) Entity Integrity is a rule that every table must have a primary key (like a customer number, social security number, etc...) and that key is unique but never equal to zero.
