Before we discuss about the three organizations, we need to understand the role and significance of innovation. Innovation refers to change of some kind and one of its characteristics is venturing into the unknown. It is helpful in improving the present working condition and in business context, even more useful in improving the products and the cycles or activities carried out in efficiently running a business. Innovation must be systematic in nature, as it helps in gaining an insight into the present needs and opportunities, strengths and weaknesses and the demand that exist or may arise in the future times and meeting them creates a constant pattern of innovation (Heskett, 2007). For encouraging innovation and making it useful for the organization, it is important that we designate clear, defined roles to people in an organization to prepare the organization for change and all its consequences.

Innovation simply means generating new ideas that work and it is important in the organizations to find new ways to contribute to the community and make a difference in the world. In practice, innovative measures should be such that they work well for the opportunities and threats that will arise in the future. Innovation is the force that provides an organization the strength that lends it the competitive advantage above others to thrive successfully in the business world (Poole & Van de Ven, 2004). Innovative ideas are those that impact the strategy, processes within an organization and services provided to the consumers.
