The company with which I am familiar with is Applied Plastics Co., Inc. the company is located in Wisconsin. The company makes plastic tubing, plastic profiles and rods.

a. Differentiate between management and leadership.
The leadership is Joe Klein, the VP, whereas the engineers are management. Joe Klein has worked hard and is always seeking new challenges. He loves risky projects. The employees of the company love him. He never shouts at them, but inspires them. It is his appeal that has increased the sales of the company. He has been able to transform the sales force into a powerful team of industrial marketing.

On the other hand the engineers both sales and production are bothered only to get the task done. They occupy a position of authority and dictate what the sales persons have to do. They seek to achieve targets by making the employees work. They do not care much for the employees but insist that they do their work. They try to avoid open conflicts with the employees.
