Strategies are often considered "the diverse approaches that organizations choose to follow in order to achieve success or a competitive advantage" (Cabrera & Bonache, 1999). On the other hand, culture "can be described as the characteristic way in which work is done in different organizations" (Cabrera & Bonache, 1999).
By definition, then, strategic objectives and strategies, at least in part, follow its culture; otherwise there will be resistance and perhaps failure.
