Capitalism has many different effects on morality. First of all it works within a set of rules that are generally agreed upon, and people who cheat get punished by the reaction of the market. Since the reaction of the market is based on freedom of choice, we can say that it promotes morality. The distribution of income and wealth is also due to the market, not a few people so cheaper prices are not commensurate with immorality. Besides there is a natural function of capitalism which relocates labor and capital and this is a natural function of capitalism that gives poorer, developing countries opportunities and jobs while begetting ...
