    It has come to the attention of this department's management that there is as great deal of trash buildup within the offices and cubicles within this department. In addition, due to company-wide budget cuts there will be a reduction in the number of maintenance workers that clean these buildings during the evenings, as well as during the day. Due to this factor, there has been a directive received from senior management to all departmental managers including the business division's managers, that staff members will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their respective working areas. A major duty that will be required of staff members is to empty their desk trash cans on a weekly basis, which means that all trash cans must be dumped into the dumpsters in the basement by the end of the workday on Friday.

    I am proud to say that all of the staff in the business division are very hard-working and cooperative individuals, and that the trash buildup in the area is probably due to individuals not having the time to dump the trash due to heavy workloads. So we as management are asking your cooperation in this endeavor, so that there is excellence in cleanliness in the work area, just as there is excellence in the way that you all perform your duties for this organization. It is also been found that less trash and clutter in the work area actually reduces the amount of stress that individuals feel as they carry out their duties during the work day, and I'm sure that we all can appreciate a reduction in the stress levels that we experience. Therefore business division management would like to thank you in advance for dumping your trash cans, as well as to thank you all for the tremendous amount of dedication and fortitude that you display in completing your responsibilities within this organization.
