WIC needs to ensure enough funding from government and tap funds from private sources to ensure that a major proportion of its target population receives adequate support via the program. Shortage of funds often causes problem for organizations such as WIC to serve its entire target population. As funds become abundant, WIC can also extend its education program to pregnant women and kids of other income groups to ensure that America becomes healthier in the future and kids and their mothers are aware of healthy nutrition.
