Choose a big-ticket item that is rather complicated, such as a stereo system or a vacation in the Caribbean. Write a business letter to the company or organization that's offering the item, and ask four questions that are important to you. Be sure to include enough background information, so the reader can answer your questions satisfactorily.

For this assignment you should choose a "big-ticket" item that you would like to purchase. This item should be rather complicated, meaning that there should a number of details to consider before its purchase. Examples of big ticket items you might include:

· Electronics

- Lab top or desk top computer
- Stereo system
- Plasma television
- iPod
- Home appliance
- Washer and dryer set

· Travel

- Vacation to the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, or South America
- Cruise to Alaska

You then will write a letter to the company selling the big ticket item.
Things to keep in mind when writing this letter

3.1. In the letter you must consider a minimum of four questions that are important to you with regard to purchasing this big ticket item. These can be any questions that you choose.

3.2. Be sure to include enough background information, so the reader can answer your questions satisfactorily. For example, if you are writing to inquire about the different colors that a particular stereo system comes in, then you might also mention your color preference...say toward red.

3.3. Be as specific as possible with your questions. Remember that person receiving this letter wants to help you. Now..."help them, help you".

3.4. Please know that I am expecting there to be clear evidence that the readings influenced how you crafted your letter. The readings have much to offer you in terms of completing this assignment with ease. So please refer to them.
