Task A: Problem/Opportunity Statement
Instructions for Task A: In the Response row, write out the problem/opportunity statements for the scenario for each of the team members.
Response to Task A:
InterClean will cross-train its current employees and successfully include its new ones to become a leader in its industry with a new customer focus.
Generic Benchmarking—The purpose of generic benchmarking is to identify potential solutions to the problem statements defined in Task A. You will do this by looking at how companies in other industries have dealt with similar issues.
Topic A: Recruitment and Selection
Instructions for Topic A: In the Response row, each team member must identify at least one company that has faced and addressed similar situations (successfully and unsuccessfully).
• In the Response row, identify whether the company has been successful or unsuccessful.
• In the Response row, summarize your key findings for the company as they relate to the scenario.
• In the Response row, identify at least one alternative solution for InterClean from each company researched.

Management Performance Institute
Management Performance Institute assists other companies in successful recruitment and selection. They have learned along the way and continue to share their experiences with their clients. They have three beliefs they focus on:
• You must have a dream; dreaming is the beginning
• Work with people who have the same vision. Grow with them
• Do your best at what you do best
The ideas sound simple enough, almost common sense advice. The suggestions really focus in on items that can truly benefit organizations. Having a dream eludes to creating a proper vision- and communicating that vision, so that others want to believe in it.
