Alcoa's latest financial statements are those ended 31st December 2008, and Ford's latest financial statements are also those ended 31st December 2008. First, there is a difference in the size of the companies, Alcoa has total assets of $37.822 billion whereas Ford has assets of $218.328 billion. Second, the total assets of Ford have decline during the last three years from $278.554 billion to $218.320, on the other hand Alcoa's assets have remained stable during the last three years, they were $37.183 in 2006 and are currently $37,822 billion.
