I did an experiment in lab---Auxin was applied to a cut apical shoot of a bean plant. What results should I expect to find regarding lateral bud growth (decrase or increase) and also the number of lateral buds(increase or decrease). Also would the presence of auxin applied in this manner affect the vertical growth of the plant?
