Answer: The point estimate is the value that is specific and is a single number of a parameter and the interval estimate of a parameter is a range of values that may or may not contain the value of the parameter estimated, the interval of estimate is better because it covers a range of values and not just a single value.

The hypothesis of the study is that we are stating that the average admissions for a local theater is 100 and in our alternative hypothesis we are contending that the average number of admissions to this theater is not equal to 100
