Thinking about a perfect world, everyone would get along just fine. Baring this, we could at least create groups in which those who worked most efficiently would be placed together. However, both of these scenarios are unlikely to happen despite the best efforts of all involved. Some of the biases we possess are culturally ingrained and part of our schemas; stereotypes if you will. Changing them would require quite a bit of re figuring in our mental processes and many might consider such a thing to not be worth the effort. As hard as we try to form a more cohesive society, is it truly possible to enact the lessons we are trying to teach? Why or why not?
