1.) What are a couple of theological themes that are shared or in common with most of the prophets.
2.) Are these unique to the prophets?
3.) Why are they important?

1 Theological Themes
A good summary of the themes of the prophetic books is found in the ESV Study Bible's essay on the topic by Paul House. 1. That God has spoken through them
2. That Israel retains a covenant relationship with God
3. That most of Israel has sinned, but a remnant persists in holiness
4. That the "Day of the LORD" is coming and will eradicate sin
5. That renewal follows with the Savior's coming.
