Most of our beliefs are influenced by religion in one way or another, as all values and principles for living come from philosophy, which is most often (if not always) a reflection of a morality (ethical framework) implied in religion.

Go onto others as you would them do onto you?is a Universal principle found in most religions.

Treat your neighbor as yourself is another one. In other words, have respect and treat your neighbor well.

Principles of love, kindness, compassion, helping others and humanitarian effort are reflections of religious concepts and principles.

b. How you acquired your religious belief system?

What is your philosophy of life? What do you believe? Do you believe in God? Are you an atheist? Even atheists have a philosophy or belief system that guides her or his decisions and actions. Perhaps you do not go to church, but your parents raised you based on moral or religious principles e.g., be nice to your friends, work hard and you will get ahead (is referred to Protestant work ethics, where work is considered spiritual), respect your mother and father through listening and obeying them as a child and being kind and helpful as we get older (one of the 10 commandments in Christianity and reflective of most religions). This belief system them comes from a religion, even though you do not participate in any religion affiliation.

Do you believe in respecting other people? Do you believe in helping the elderly? These are reflections of religious values of love, kindness and compassion.
