    I am looking for some good ideas to compare and contrast these two religions. I am doing a paper on this and just need an idea on where to take it.

    Orthodox Christianity and Mormonism have some similarities, but many differences. Both affirm the divine inspiration of the holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments. In fact, the Book of Mormon, authored by Mormon founder Joseph Smith, is written in the style of the 1611 King James Version. Orthodox Christianity, of course, rejects the Book of Mormon, which Joseph Smith claimed was a special revelation given to him by the angel Moroni, telling him where to find special golden plates containing "the fulness of the everlasting Gospel" as delivered to the inhabitants of ancient America.
