According to Sternberg, a person can experience eight general types of love. In the following table, a type of love as identified by Sternberg is in the left column. In the center column, write the combination of components that type of love demonstrates (intimacy, passion, or commitment). In the right column, fill in the characteristics for the corresponding type of love.
Type of Love Components Characteristics
You have asked for someone to help you complete a table that illustrates Sternberg's theory of love so that you may use it in a larger research paper assignment.
This theory is also known as: Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love (1986, 1987, 1988, as cited in Arnett, 2007). I have included in attachment #1 an illustration of this theory in triangular format. In the second attachment, I have included the actual table illustration that you have requested. However, I thought it might be helpful for you to have each type of love along with their components and characteristics written out as well. I have included, not only the basic characteristics, but some examples as well.
This solution provides assistance for a student needing to complete a table that illustrates Sternberg's theory of love so that he/she may use the information in a larger research paper assignment. In the solution, the theory is presented in two forms, in triangular format and the actual table illustration.
