A study was taken at a certain university to determine what relationship, if any, exists between mathematics ability and interest in mathematics. The ability and interest for 150 students were determined, and the results are presented in the following table:

    INTEREST

    Ability Low Average High Total
    Low 40 8 12 60
    Average 15 17 18 50
    High 5 10 25 40
    Total 60 35 55 150

One of the participants in the study is chosen at random.

    A) What is the probability that the participant has a low interest in mathematics?
    B) What is the probability that the participant has high ability in mathematics, given that he/she has a high interest in mathematics?
    C) What is the probability that the participant has either low ability in mathematics or low interest in mathematics?
