Distance between Vega versus Sun to the Earth

Every second we move about 20 Km closer to the current position of the Vega. If Vega is 26.5 L-Y (light years) from Earth, how long will it take for the Sun (and it's planets) to travel this distance.
I have extreme difficulty understanding calculations in light years and how many planets must travel along with the Sun to solve this equation. Any guidance would be extremely helpful.
