Converging lens and double slit interference
Not what you're looking for?
This is a unique problem involving thin lens and double slit interference. The object and the image act as double slit and form bright and dark fringes on a screen placed parallel to the principal axis.
A source of monochromatic light with wavelength L is located on optical (principal) axis of converging lens with focal length f on distance p from the lens center. Parallel to the lens axis screen is D away from it (D >> p). Derive the expression for estimating the order of the bright fringes that can be expected on the screen at point A.
