Potential across the wire = V = 8 V
Length of the wire = L = 2.5 m
Magnitude of electric field created with in the wire = E = V/L = 8/2.5 = 3.2 V/m
Force experienced by a charge q in a uniform electric field E is given by qE. Hence, the force experienced by the electron in the conductor = F = eE = 1.6 x 10^-19 x 3.2 = 5.12 x 10^-19 N
