And, Packet switching divides data into small packets and sends each packet individually.
Circuit switching and packet switching are different in many respects.
1) Circuit Switching requires that a circuit be set up before communication begins. Unlike Circuit switching, Packet switching does not require setting up of circuit in advance for each data transmission.
2) In Circuit Switching, there is only one physical path for all the data transmission because of the connection establishment whereas, there is no dedicated path for the packets sent in Packet Switching.
