Please give me a step by step rundown of how to do it?
"A rescue plane wants to drop supplies to isolated mountain climbers on a rocky ridge H = 227 m below. If the plane is traveling horizontally with a speed of 223 km/hr (61.9 m/s), how far in advance of the recipients (horizontal distance) must the goods be dropped?"© BrainMass Inc. brainmass.com March 6, 2023, 1:13 pm ad1c9bdddf
Vertical distance to be travelled = Sv= 227 m.
Sv = (1/2) * g * T *T since the initial velocity vertically ...
With good explanations and formulas the problem is solved.
