Your strategy meeting with the project managers was very efficient. They have asked if you would be able to take part in the creation of the presentation itself. In working with the head project manager, you decide that you will create the first portion of this presentation that will focus on Death of a Salesman. You have a meeting with the project manager and come up with a rough outline of what components need to be included in this presentation.

Discuss the importance of the setting/staging within this play. How would the play be different if the setting/staging were changed? Provide an example.

First of all, as you discuss the importance of the setting/staging within this play, I feel that this literary element is extremely vital to this play. Since the play warrants a gritty, grim, spartan setting to advance the socioeconomic themes, it would not work if it were set in a lavish palace such as Versailles or a villa in Antigua. Thus, as you make your own slides, you might goggle "Death of a Salesman" staging images and select the best black and white depiction for one of them as slide 1. I'd also then contrast this grim one with a sunny depiction from a Caribbean or Tahitian staging image to show how the theme, tone, and mood would change for slides 2-3. What do you think?

As for slide 4, I think having a slide with money images will also be helpful to reiterate how Willy's desperate socioeconomic struggles advance the theme and appeal to the audience.

As for slides 5-6, you might also find pictures from the Great Depression in black and white to place on your slide to demonstrate Willy's conflict and the value of the setting socioeconomically.

As you then create slide 7-8 to dissect the prevalent themes, I see one major one as the struggle to achieve the American Dream. I ...
