Question 1--------I need to review a current events internet article within the past 12 months that discusses how a company has improved its financial performance through:

a. Cost savings, or

b. Productivity gains through the use of Operating Leverage (substituting technology for manpower).

I am not able to use press releases, financial statement releases or other PR materials

This article is discussing the measures taken by the Citibank to reduce the costs. It will save $2.1 bn through the measures of cost cutting. It has done job restructuring by shifting the jobs from US to India where the cost is low. It is shifting more than 9000 jobs to low cost countries and out of that 8000 will go to India. Moreover it's also outsourcing some of the high skilled functions from India. The high end functions like research analytics, credit appraisals and a range of corporate advisory support services. is outsourced from India and it will raise the headcount of skilled workers in future in Indian operations.
