Can someone please provide some assistance with a question. It's for an MBA course and needs to be between 350 and 450 words. Every nonprofit has a reason to exist. However, many nonprofits miss the opportunity to express that in a concise way. Funders, potential board members, other supporters of a nonprofit need to know why the work of a nonprofit makes a difference. So, please tell us why your nonprofit needs to exist. I have worked for a nonprofit that serves those with developmental disabilities. The nonprofit provides services to help both the individuals with disabilities and the families. It serves a community that receives funding through the Medicaid Waiver program and helps establish these individuals in their own homes and find work. While some nonprofits like the Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC) places people with developmental disabilities in-group homes or within their own facilities and helps them find work that is contracted to ARC, the nonprofit I worked with does not work in this manner.
