    The 0.5 lb weight is suspended from a rigid frame as shown in the attached diagram. Pin A at the end of the rotating arm OA engages a slot in the frame, causing the frame to oscillate in the vertical direction. The arm is accelerated uniformly from rest at t = 0 and θ = 0 at the ω.(dot) = 100 rad/s^2.
