Electric field lines & equipotential lines
Not what you're looking for?
Draw a picture of the electric field lines generated by a collection of two positive charges, both of charge q = 1. Center one at (1,0) and the other rat (-1,0). What happens to the electric field at the origin? (the point 0,0)
Draw a few equipotential lines. Remember, these are the curves that circle the charge distribution, always perpendicular to the electric field lines.
Is the electric potential at the origin zero or nonzero?
**PLEASE DRAW OUT A 2D picture with curved lines, etc...make the picture as good as possible. Hopefully you can draw it in pencil and then scan it into a file and post it for me! if you can't do this then don't answer the question. THANK YOU! ****
